This was the second time we'd visited the club this year for a beer festival. We said we would be back and we were. We were greeted by stalwart supporter, club benefactor and beer festival worker Mark Harrison who poured us a beer.

This festival it is so relaxed. Walk in, pick up a glass and beer list from a table by the door, approach a bar, buy beer (or cider), go to seat and enjoy. Beers and cider/perry were £2.70 a pint. The bar faces Oliver Street and is in the West Stand.

In addition to this there were some traditional ciders and perries as follows: Crones (Norfolk) Owld Norfolk Cider (7.4%) and Perry (6.3%); Gwynt Y Ddraig (Pontypridd, Wales) Two Trees Perry (4.5%); Core Fruit (Kent) Strawberry Cider (5.5%) and Hardcore Cider (8.0%).

Snacks were all £1.00 each, consisting of a large variety of filled flatbreads and also large bags of olives.

Barney's (Edinburgh), Blueball (Runcorn), Bridestones (Hebden Bridge), East London Brewing (Leyton), Kissingate (Horsham), Liverpool Craft (Liverpool), Norton Priory (Runcorn), Saxon City (Hereford), Smart Brewing (Preston), Tudor (Abergavenny), Tynebank (Newcastle).

A thoroughly recommended festival.
